Week 14 of the 2023 NFL regular season features two Monday night games, with the Tennessee Titans taking on the Atlanta Florida Dolphins in one of them.Did you really believe that we had forgotten about the amusing spring schedule release video the Titans made, in which they asked non-football fans to predict Tennessee’s next game by game just by looking at their logo?
Funny things came out of it, like the Tampa Bay Bucs being dubbed the “Pirates of the islands of the Caribbean” and, of course, the Miami Dolphins seemingly taking on a new moniker for a week.
TYREEK WANTED TO GO OVER 2,000.
As we look at Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Mike McDaniel’s current NFL MVP and Coach of the Year odds, it’s important to remember that Tyreek is expected to make history by becoming the first player to reach 2,000 receiving yards in a season.
Hill is heavily favored to achieve that target, according to BetOnline’s odds, which are set at -220 to reach 2,000 yards and +160 to fall short.
Hill needs to average 104 yards over the next five Dolphins games in order to reach the elusive 2,000-yard mark. He currently has 1,481 yards on the season.
Hill saw a significant increase in BetOnline’s MVP odds following his 157-yard performance against Washington in Week 13, moving from 33/1 to 12/1, good for seventh place. Tua, who moved from 10/1 to 17/2 and is now tied for fifth with Lamar Jackson, behind favorite Brock Purdy, Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts, and Patrick Mahomes, passed for 280 yards and two touchdowns with a 142.0 passer rating against the Commanders.
Meanwhile, McDaniel fell from third to fourth among the Colts’ Shane Steichen as the Coach of the Year betting favorite. Dan Campbell, the former interim head coach of the Dolphins, is still the favorite at 2/1. DeMeco Ryans is next at 3/1, Steichen is at 9/2, and McDaniel is at 13/2.
DRAKE AND FOSTER: Previously selected in the first round Reuben Foster worked out with the Dolphins on Wednesday as planned, but he didn’t get signed. He shared this on Instagram shortly after. He did express gratitude to the team for the chance.
— Kenyan Drake, a former Dolphins running back, has signed with the Green Bay Packers practice squad. The Packers tweeted that Drake would be wearing his old number 32, giving Dolphins fans a small shout-out. Drake, who undoubtedly will always hold a special place in Dolphins history due to his role in the “Miami Miracle,” tweeted, “nostalgic huh miami fans.”
