Several Warriors players were surrounded by cute dogs during their customary pre-game red carpet run at the Chase Center in honor of National Puppy Day.

The program was a component of Golden State’s agreement with the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA, an animal shelter that assists in finding homes for strays and rescues in the Bay Area. The canines who accompanied the Warriors players on Friday night are up for adoption, as you can see below.

Unfortunately, Golden State’s on-court performance suffered as a result of the pregame cutesy injection. Despite fielding a fully healthy team for the first time in weeks, the Warriors lost badly, 123-111, at home against Tyrese Haliburton and his Pacers.

Stephen Curry shot just 6-of-18 from three and 9-of-24 overall for 25 points, marking one of his poorest shooting games of the season. The Warriors shot just 14 of 48 from three as a team and were never able to establish any rhythm against the Pacers, who rank second in the NBA in PACE.

To make matters worse, the Lakers easily defeated the Sixers 101-94 at home, increasing their advantage over the Warriors in the standings to 1.5 games. The Pacific Division opponents are locked in a fight for the final two play-in berths with three weeks remaining in the season.
