Watch: David Pastrnak gets his helmet knocked off in fight with Matthew Tkachuk

David Pastrnak lost his helmet in a fight with Matthew Tkachuk during the Boston Bruins’ defeat to the Florida Panthers in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference second-round playoff series.

The Panthers dominated with a 6-1 victory at Amerant Bank Arena, leveling the series at one apiece.

Despite Boston’s initial goal, Florida retaliated with three goals in the second period and three more in the third. Tempers flared as the Bruins became frustrated, resulting in multiple fights and the ejection of 10 players.

Pastrnak and Tkachuk, after conversing on their benches, agreed to a fight, where Tkachuk, the more experienced fighter, prevailed by knocking off Pastrnak’s helmet and landing additional blows. Both players received 10-minute misconducts and were removed from the ice.

The game favored the Panthers, who not only avenged their previous 5-1 loss in Game 1 but also forced Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman out of the game and emerged victorious in the fights. With the series tied at 1-1, Game 3 will take place in Boston on Friday.
