UPDATE: Jimmy Butler’s Injury Status vs. Warriors Revealed

The Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat are set to face off on Thursday night, and star forward Jimmy Butler is being listed as questionable on the injury report. Butler is dealing with a left calf strain that has his status in question, which is of course a big development to follow.

While the Warriors are coming off a Christmas Day loss to the Denver Nuggets, they are still playing better as of late, having won five of their last six games. This has been one of Golden State’s more encouraging stretches of the season, as it’s been a very up and down year for them so far.

This game against Miami projects to be a tough one, as the Heat are currently 18-12, but this of course changes a lot if Butler is unable to go. Butler missed Miami’s Christmas game against the Philadelphia 76ers, which was the third-straight game he had missed.

Miami has actually gone 3-0 in their last three games without Butler, which includes impressive wins over Philadelphia, Orlando, and Atlanta. With a solid team up and down their roster, the Heat are of course much better with Butler, but are still very capable without him.

The Warriors will have to be prepared for Miami whether or not Butler plays, as they need every win they can get at this point.
