The Manchester United contract proposal has not yet reached Raphael Varane.

Raphael Varane, a center back for Manchester United, has an uncertain future.

This season, the Frenchman has struggled with both injuries and form, but since the beginning of 2024, there has been a discernible improvement.

Varane was not as popular under Erik ten Hag, but it is clear why he is back in the manager’s good graces now.

While Varane has been playing well since the beginning of the season, I believe that many of our defenders are past their prime. Varane is one of the high earners that I would fire in the summer in order to strengthen the department as a whole.

The fact that United hasn’t extended an offer to Varane seems revealing.
