Barkley will receive $37.5 million over the course of his three-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. Upon signing, the two-time Pro Bowler is fully guaranteed $26 million, with a potential cap of $46.75 million.

The 27-year-old became well-known after winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award during the 2018ā€“19 season, and he played his entire career for the New York Giants. As a rookie, he was also selected for his first Pro Bowl.

Barkley participated in 14 games in the previous season, rushing for 962 yards and six touchdowns on 247 attempts. In addition, the running back added four touchdown catches and 280 receiving yards. An ankle sprain was the reason for each of his three missed games.

The Eagles, who lost their best running back, Deandre Swift, to injury last season, will now have the star back on staff. With support from Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell, Barkley will be spearheading the rush.

The way Philly’s newest addition will complement Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown on the field adds even more intrigue. With 75.5 points scored (7th), 354.4 total yards (8th), and 128.8 rushing yards (8th) per game, the Eagles were among the top 10 offensive teams in the previous campaign.

Saquon Barkley increases the Eagles’ chances of making a deeper postseason run, which is something they aim to accomplish after losing to the Wild Card team.
