SAD NEWS:  Ravens Injury Update for Week 16: Zay Flowers and OBJ Will Miss Practice

The Baltimore Ravens are shorthanded in practice in the days before their Monday Night Football matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, a game that has the potential to tip the NFL’s power dynamics. Wide receivers Zay Flowers, selected 22nd overall, and Odell Beckham Jr. were not present for practice on Wednesday. In the last series of Baltimore’s 23-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, OBJ did not see the field.

Ronald Darby, right tackle Morgan Moses, and cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis (concussion) did not practice. Following practice, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh declared that there was “no concern” about Flowers.

On the plus side, Baltimore’s health situation is improving. Ronnie Staley returned to practice after suffering a concussion on Sunday, and Marcus Williams made a comeback while he healed from a groin injury.

It would be very beneficial to have Flowers back in the lineup on Monday night against the 49ers, whose defense is second in the league in points allowed. The April first-round pick has racked up 65 receptions for 680 yards and three scores.

Baltimore’s complete injury report will be made public on Thursday because the club is playing on Monday night.
