Dallas Cowboys supporters are accustomed to subdued beginnings in the realm of free agency, and the year 2024 has followed suit. Monday brought forth no indications of the Cowboys pursuing external free agents, and notably, none of the team’s 16 free agents were re-signed. Instead, Tony Pollard, Tyler Biadasz, and Dorance Armstrong found new homes elsewhere.
However, the evening of Monday saw the conclusion of this tepid start with a report from the Dallas Morning News. Following the Cincinnati Bengals’ agreement with running back Zack Moss, Cowboys insider Michael Gehlken disclosed that Dallas had expressed interest in Moss, albeit with reservations about the price exceeding their comfort zone.
Such deliberations are not unfamiliar to Cowboys enthusiasts. Yet, what ensued was unexpected: Moss finalized a deal worth $8 million over two years, with $4.25 million guaranteed in the first year.
