Rapoport: 49ers and Steelers reach a trade agreement; Brandon Aiyuk will make the final call
The San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to trade wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Aiyuk’s new deal is apparently “in a good place” with the Steelers as well. “It’s done if SF gives the final sign-off,” Rapoport posted to social media. That puts the initiative back in Aiyuk’s hands.
Now it’s up to him: Would he rather play for the 49ers on what is reportedly a lower-value contract and compete for a Super Bowl, or join the Steelers, a team he’s preferred in trade talks?
