Reaction To Cardinals Cutting D.J. Humphries

D.J. Humphries, a left lineman for the Arizona Cardinals, was let go by the team earlier today.

Arizona will save more than $15 million by cutting the veteran, who they are supposedly categorizing as a Post-June 1 transfer.

They supposedly set aside that cash for lineman Jonah Williams, who is rumored to be signing a $30 million, two-year contract with the team after being cut loose by the Cincinnati Bengals.

After several years of service, the team published a thank-you video:

Since joining the league, quarterback Kyler Murray has only known Humphries as his anchor. He responded to the news as follows:

Humphries, who is thirty years old, experienced an ACL tear at the end of 2023. Though it’s unclear where and when he’ll play next, the Red Sea will undoubtedly adore him.

In the eyes of the media, he will also be missed.

Everything regarding the knee was excellent. The swelling is really low. I’m flexing past 90 degrees and have regained my extension. Man, we’re rolling. Humphries stated earlier this month, “I’m so excited to be off these damn crutches in two more weeks.”
