The visiting New York Rangers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-4 on Saturday thanks to two goals and a career-high five points from Artemi Panarin.

The Rangers, who have won four of five, also have goals and two assists from K’Andre Miller and Chris Kreider, a goal and an assist from Adam Fox, and additional goals from Mika Zibanejad and Kaapo Kakko.

Jonathan Quick, the goalie for New York, made 34 saves.

The Pittsburgh goaltender Tristan Jarry gave up six goals on 23 shots; Alex Nedeljkovic came in in the third and made four saves. Bryan Rust and Lars Eller each had a goal and an assist, while John Ludvig and Valtteri Puustinen also scored for the Penguins, who are now 1-1-1 in their last three games. Ludvig made it back-to-back games with a goal when he gave the Penguins a 1-0 lead at 2:36 of the first period with a screened shot from the left point.

The Rangers went ahead 3-2 at 15:32 of the first on Panarin’s tip-in of a Trocheck shot. Eller tied it at 3 at 10:10 of the second on a power play with a shot that went in off Quick before Panarin, on a New York power play, made it 4-3 at 16:27 on a second rebound.
