Raiders GM Gives Official Tribute in Honor of Legend Jim Otto

The Las Vegas Raiders lost a great one on Sunday. But he wasn’t just any former player or legend; Jim Otto was the original Raider.

They called him ‘Double zero ‘, a 12-time All-Pro at the center position. But what’s truly remarkable is that he was initially deemed too small for the role. Jim Otto’s resilience, ferocity, and unyielding spirit were evident in every game, making him a force to be reckoned with.

Raider Nation and the NFL are mourning Otto’s loss greatly. But the Raiders are already paying tribute to the original Raider in a way only the Raiders can.

Sunday night, as the sun started to set, Mark Davis, son of Al Davis, lit the torch for Otto.

The Raiders also released a statement that tells a bit about Otto and his family, just in case you may not know who he is or how great of a person he was.

The Raiders continue to show why they are one of the best franchises ever, as even the players are paying tribute.
