Panthers rally around Cleary after star ruled out of Origin

Penrith players are pledging their support for Nathan Cleary, who is devastated after learning that his recent hamstring injury will keep him out of the Origin series. Cleary sustained a Grade 2 tear, sidelining him for eight weeks.

Despite being a top pick for the Blues, Cleary has only played a minimal amount of time since Round 3 due to repeated hamstring issues.

His teammates, including Jarome Luai, are consoling him and ensuring him of the team’s success in his absence. Cleary’s spirits are low, but his teammates are determined to lift his morale and reassure him of their support until his return later in the year.

Luai acknowledges Cleary’s frustration, especially since this is the third consecutive time he’s suffered this injury.
