NEWS NOW:Justin Turner Had Three Hit Performance Alejandro Kirk Continue His Hot Streak And More As The Blue Jays Defeat The Yankees 8-1

Justin Turner Delivered Three Standout Performances A hot streak..

That makes it two victories in a row for the Toronto Blue Jays!

The Jays defeated their division opponent, the New York Yankees, 8-1, on Tuesday afternoon at Dunedin. Additionally, they currently have an 8-9 record with a tie.

Let’s examine a few items that merit discussion.

Things to consider…

After going 3-3 with two RBIs, Justin Turner had his greatest game as a Blue Jay, raising his season hitting average to.333. The three hits were all singles, or what’s known as Brennan hits.
Turner is an excellent clutch hitter, but the Jays struggled to score when they had runners in scoring position the previous season. Turner hit.316 with three home runs in 60 plate appearances during the previous high-leverage season. It wasn’t a one-time event either; over the course of his career, he had 607 high-leverage plate appearances with a batting average of.296.

Alejandro Kirk got two singles with a runner driven in, continuing his scorching Spring Training. With three home runs so far this spring, he leads all Blue Jay batters in scoring. This is a promising start to his season after missing the most of 2023 Spring Training.

Bo Bichette was driven in twice and had a single. With a.433 hitting average this spring, he already appears to be in midseason form.
