The San Antonio Spurs are in the final stretch of their current season. As the regular season draws to a conclusion, the club is wrapping up its schedule following an early elimination from postseason contention. The Golden State Warriors defeated them 117-113 in their most recent matchup on Sunday. Despite the fact that the Spurs now have more losses than before, rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama made a big impression on the Dubs. Specifically, Draymond Green was impressed with what he observed from the 7-foot-4 phenomenon. After the game, Golden State’s explosive forward referred to Wembanyama as a “special talent” in remarks to the media.
According to Raul Dominguez Jr., “He is a very, very, very, special talent.” This is what Green stated. “I told Trayce (Jackson-Davis) and those guys that I’m glad I got to play against him now because I won’t be in the league anymore and they’ll have to deal with him much later.”
Claims like that demonstrate how even NBA veterans are in awe of the Spurs young franchise player, especially considering the kind of players Green has played with. It’s also not surprising that Green offered Wemby his roses considering the Frenchman’s Sunday performance.
