The highly anticipated release of EA Sports College Football 25, which marks the ten-year comeback of a cherished video game franchise, has generated a great deal of excitement.
EA has started putting their “rankings week” into practice as the July 19 release date approaches, with the best attacks and defenses in the game being revealed on Thursday.
According to EA’s website, Pro Football Focus assisted the top 25 players on both sides of the ball in their analysis of all 134 FBS team rosters to determine the rankings. Kansas, Kansas State, and Missouri found their names on the lists when EA made them public on Thursday morning. Out of the three teams, Mizzou had the highest ranking and was the only one to place in the top 10 in terms of both offense and defense. The Tigers, along with four other teams (No. 5 Ohio State, No. 6 LSU, No. 7 Miami, and No. 8 Colorado) on the list, ranked No. 9 offensively with an overall rating of 89.
The Tigers’ offense, led by Brady Cook, Luther Burden III, and Cody Schrader, averaged an SEC-top-5 435.1 yards per game during an 11-2 season. This victory over Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl became the program’s first-ever New Year’s Six bowl triumph. In College Football 25, Burden (1,212 receiving yards, 9 touchdowns) and Cook (3,317 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns) will both be featured.
Along with No. 10 Clemson, No. 11 Utah, No. 12 Penn State, No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 15 Arizona, and No. 16 NC State, Kansas was ranked No. 14 overall in the offense rankings. Following a 9-4 season and their first bowl victory (against UNLV in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl) in fifteen years, the Jayhawks are led offensively by quarterback Jason Bean, since Jalon Daniels was sidelined by a back ailment. The game will feature Daniels and running back Devin Neal (1,280 rushing yards, 17 total touchdowns).
