BYU may have successfully executed its left tackle of the future. A product from Kirksville, Missouri Andrew Williams declared on social media on Thursday that he had formally committed to the Cougars.
Williams is ranked as the eighth best player in Missouri with a 3-star rating from 247 Sports. In BYU’s constantly expanding 2025 recruiting class, the 275-pound, 6-foot-7 prospect is rated as the second-best prospect. Despite coming from a smaller high school program, several Big 12 institutions expressed interest in Williams. In addition to Kansas, Kansas State, and Iowa State, BYU prevailed over them for his dedication.
His signing marks one of the first major recruiting wins for new Cougars offensive line coach TJ Woods, who is entering his first season in Provo.
Williams is the 14th player to enroll in BYU’s 2025 recruiting class, which is presently ranked No. 13 in the 16-team Big 12 and No. 56 nationwide.
