- Kaiden Guhle has made an impressive return to the ice after undergoing appendix surgery in September 2024. Despite missing most of the Montreal Canadiens’ training camp, Guhle played in the final preseason game against the Ottawa Senators, where he surprised both himself and his teammates with how quickly he regained form.
Guhle stated that he felt ready to play almost immediately, describing his performance as feeling like he was “shot out of a cannon”.
Since returning, Guhle has been playing significant minutes, averaging over 22 minutes per game and contributing both offensively and defensively. He has been on the ice for every five-on-five goal the Canadiens have scored this season, demonstrating his importance to the team. With Guhle back in top form, his role in stabilizing the defense will be crucial as the Canadiens look to remain competitive.
