This summer, the New York Yankees might pull off one more significant transaction. The baseball world was already taken aback by New York’s acquisition of renowned slugger Juan Soto. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is a young player that the Yankees have been chasing closely, suggesting that they are not done yet.
Although Yamamoto’s destination is unknown, the Yankees are “co-favorites” to sign him this offseason, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
“Speculation, again this is speculation, is that (Yamamoto) would like the big stage,” stated Heyman. “I don’t see anything wrong with a huge club, so right now, I’m going to tie the Yankees and Dodgers for first place. You know he might decide whatever, so don’t hold me to it. He wants to choose between those seven teams, but for now, I believe the Yankees and Dodgers are the front-runners.
