Jason Kelce, a legend of the Philadelphia Eagles, looks to be living it up in his early retirement. Unexpectedly, he showed up at his former haunts donning an alternative headpiece.
At WrestleMania XL, which took place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kelce and former Eagles teammate Lane Johnson participated in the action.
The tag match between Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio was interrupted by the two men, who were correctly dressed in luchador masks. Dominik was grabbing a steel chair when Kelce and Johnson came out of the throng and attacked him.
After removing their masks, Kelce and Johnson were showered with praise from the Philadelphia supporters who had probably before cheered them on.
Given the rumors that WWE had contacted Kelce a few days prior to WrestleMania XL, the former Eagles star’s debut wasn’t totally unexpected.
After 13 seasons in the NFL, Kelce declared his retirement last month. As he goes on beyond football, Kelce seems to be in high demand even after his WrestleMania participation.
Although Johnson continues to play a major role for the Eagles, the two-time All-Pro has also made references to his own retirement.
