Introducing the Newest Boston Bruins: Center Mark Kastelic and Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo

Rumors had been circulating for weeks that the Boston Bruins were considering trading various players, including goaltender Linus Ullmark. On Monday night, Ullmark was traded to the Ottawa Senators.

In exchange for Ullmark, the Senators sent centerman Mark Kastelic, goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, and the 25th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft to the Bruins. Interestingly, this draft pick originally belonged to Boston before it was traded to the Detroit Red Wings for Tyler Bertuzzi.

While the draft pick is significant beyond just salary considerations and securing the goaltender position, it’s important to get acquainted with the new players joining the Bruins from Ottawa.
