Mitch Kenny, a hooker for the Penrith Panthers, has secured a three-year contract extension, giving the team a win in the player market.
After taking over for Apisai Koroisau in the previous season and scoring a try in the grand final, Kenny will now stay with the team until the end of the 2027 campaign.
“I’m thrilled to commit to the Panthers because this place is home to me,” Kenny said.

“It’s great to have the opportunity to continue wearing the Panthers jersey and representing our community for another three seasons.”
After being a late starter in the 2022 victory over the Eels, Kenny went on to play in 86 NRL games and has now won two premierships.

Following an Instagram story that tarnished the reputation of the game, Kenny was fined $10,000, half of which was suspended, and suspended for one game at the beginning of the season. Now, he has decided to resign.
Taylan May and Izack Tago, two centers, have re-signed, the Panthers have announced.
Penrith is up against it to hold onto winger Sunia Turuva, who is reportedly likely to accept offers of $500,000 a season, even with their recent retention binge.
