Several fans are paying respects to the snooker icon PERRIE MANS, who passed away at the age of 82.
The South African became a professional snooker player by following in the footsteps of his father Peterand. The previous world champion was most recognized for his lengthy,
strong blows and stylish vestments. Mans defeated Northern Irish sensation Alex Higgins 8–4 in the 1979 Masters final in London’s Wembley Convention Center.
Mans’ second-place finish in the 1978 World Championships, which included an 18–25 loss to Ray Reardon at the Crucible, was another career high point.
Social media was used by supporters to honor the snooker legend. Lead tribute tweeter Richard Osman, a TV celebrity, wrote: “82.
