Giants’ Brian Daboll: Tyrod Taylor ‘the role model of a true professional’

Tyrod Taylor is in his 13th season in the NFL after being selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2011 NFL Draft. Taylor is a veteran who has faced greater hardship than most, and he always appears to rise to the occasion.

This is something that New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll is aware of, and when questioned about how Taylor can influence coaches and teammates, he responded by calling Taylor “the role model of a true professional.”

The concern is whether Taylor can take on the challenge and inspire others to do the same.

“To begin with, he is a very kind person. He’s obviously experienced a lot in his 13 years in the NFL,” Daboll remarked. In terms of self-care, preparation, and team dynamics, he exemplifies what it means to be a true professional. He has spent so much time in the league because of this.

“So, I believe that everything he does—whether it’s getting up early, working out, acting in meetings, or huddleing with guys—has kind of developed over time, but it also really speaks to who he is as a person and his upbringing. Amazing person

Although Taylor’s professional journey wasn’t simple, it is encouraging. Taylor joined the Buffalo Bills in 2017 and helped the team make the playoffs for the first time in 17 years after four years of supporting Joe Flacco in Baltimore. In order to make way for Josh Allen, the Bills traded Taylor to the Browns in 2018.

A quarterback seems to change completely after joining the Browns. Alex Smith. Quinn Brady. Mayfield Baker. These are but a handful.

In relation to Mayfield, he was the one who replaced Taylor in Cleveland following Tyrod’s injury. Two more times, the Chargers and Texans would experience the same situation, with a rookie filling in for him after an injury.

It appears like Taylor may now have another opportunity to prove to the league that he still has it and is a valuable player. The Giants are grateful that his rib injury wasn’t more catastrophic and they do value him right now.
