Former BYU Cougars quarterback Jacob Conover has decided to continue his college football career in Utah, as he announced on social media that he’s committed to playing for the Utah State Aggies. This move comes after receiving an offer from the Aggies at the end of April.
Despite some prior transfers, the quarterback room at Utah State remains competitive, with Conover joining other talented players. While Conover was highly regarded in high school, his performance in college hasn’t matched those expectations.
After returning from a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he played two seasons at BYU and had limited success. He then transferred to Arizona State but struggled there as well. Despite his setbacks, Conover still has two years of eligibility left.
