Following a less than 48-hour appendectomy, Dallas Cowboys’ HC McCarthy is expected to practice ahead of the Eagles game.

Mike McCarthy left Arlington two days later and came back to take out his appendix. As defensive coordinator Dan Quinn predicted, McCarthy will not play against the Philadelphia Eagles when the Dallas Cowboys play them.

Sources claim that the 60-year-old’s comeback was quite the show. He returned to the Cowboys’ practice on Friday, with 50 Cent’s upbeat music playing in the background. Tony Pollard, the running back, thought it was a neat entry.

The head coach of the Cowboys gave a brief account of what happened earlier in the week. This Wednesday, he arrived at practice feeling as though he had a virus in his stomach. McCarthy was diagnosed with appendicitis at the local hospital when he went with athletic trainer Jim Maurer.

Later that evening, he underwent surgery. Shortly after, he was in contact with his coaching staff and quarterback, Dak Prescott . On Thursday, he even had a virtual meeting with staff and players. The Dallas Cowboys have one of the better starts to a season in recent memory. They currently have nine wins from 12 games and are poised to face NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles, whom they narrowly lost early on in the season. As the season kicks into the business part of the year, the Cowboys have one of the toughest schedules remaining. They will face four teams with a.500 record or higher. And for their head coach to be the center of attention amidst all the tension may affect the players’ focus. That’s primarily the reason Mike McCarthy decided against a lengthy rehab period.
