NBA expert Seth Greenberg claims that Draymond Green, the star of the Warriors, is solely to blame for the demise of the Warriors’ culture. Seth describes how the defensive standout has seriously hurt his team in a now-viral tirade.
You mention the Golden State Warriors’ dynasty. According to Awful Announcing, Greenberg declared, “It’s over, it’s done.” “The coach who initiated it and is in that locker room needs to accept responsibility for what is happening. Avoid being a dude. He’s destroying your identity, your culture, and pretty much everything you’ve worked so hard to build. The Golden State Warriors are here to stay. This is going to require a major explosion. Thus, why not make a clear declaration that “You know what, we have to go on”?
Even though he was somewhat critical of Draymond, Greenberg didn’t end there. He also criticized Steve Kerr, the team’s head coach, for condoning this behavior and allowing his pranks to continue unchecked for years until they became more problematic.
“As an organization and as a coach, your actions need to be much stronger. You can’t just say, “Hey, we’re disappointed, I know it’s Draymond.” Yeah, that’s your locker room if I’m Steph Curry. You must adopt a more forceful stance. Steve Kerr needs to make a more forceful statement.
This season, Draymond has had his share of outbursts, from bickering with the referees to almost sucker punching Jusuf Nurkic. Draymond was actually made to pay for his sins for the first time in a long time, and even the NBA had to intervene and declare enough was enough.
