When you play well in a live poker tournament and your opponent lets out a loud cry on Twitter like a wimp, what happens?
You either choose to ignore them because you have more important things to accomplish with your life, or you choose to retaliate against them because it’s right. When Matt Glantz attacked Justin Bonomo for his performance at the World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship 2022 in Las Vegas, the former experienced this. The Wynn Las Vegas is hosting the event, and a number of well-known pros are competing.
A FIRING MATT GLANTZ AT JUSTIN BONOMO
On Twitter, Glantz posted an intriguing description of a hand he had played. Considering that Bonomo and Glantz were playing at the same table, it was evident from the tone of Glantz’s tweet that the former’s aggressive play was not valued. Why? In a tweet, the Philadelphia player attacked “ZeeJustin,” writing, “At my @WynnPoker table.The three guys had about $200,000. UTG+1 (2800). two apartments. From SB, Pink Hair Guy 16k. Child in bb 34k. Calls that open. Guy with Pink Hair calls. 894 seconds to flip. Pink Hair Guy examines the shadows. 30k Bb. Starter 80k. All in on Pink Hair Guy. Tumble Tumble. unable to breathe.

Since no one can control how other people play, the claim that they “cannot breathe” may have been a little over the top. Furthermore, Glantz persisted in calling Bonomo the “Pink Hair Guy,” which was essentially a taunt at the player who tops the All-Time Money List (Hendon Mob) and is among the wealthiest poker players in terms of 2022 net worth.
A COMMENT FROM JUSTIN BONOMO TO MATT GLANTZ
Bonomo defined savagery in his response to his rival’s post, all in defense of himself. “Strange, no trouble breathing on my side of the table Matt,” he stated in his letter. Bonomo continued after sending only one tweet. He talked a little bit more about the hands that were played on that specific table. “Few hands later: Matt bets 35k and folds to a shove of 45k total (10k more) without even asking for a count from 80k guy in previous hand,” said Bonomo in a follow-up tweet. UP NEXT HAND…
The pro from Fairfax only implied in this tweet that Glantz didn’t know how to play the game and just did whatever came to mind. “I open EP to 3k, Matt in SB says 8.5k and puts out a 25k chip,” read Bonomo’s subsequent tweet. “I call and I’ll change the 25k,” I say. I distributed 8.5k and then distributed 5k chips in a different motion. Matt felt like I shoved his stack forward, all in. Matt, keep up the fantastic play. We don’t know what peak savagery there is if this one.
