It is said that another basketball player for the BYU Cougars has logged into the transfer site.
Verbal Commits said on Tuesday that Tanner Hayhurst, a walk-on guard, had accessed the portal. In light of Marcus Adams Jr.’s decision last week, he is the second Cougar to make this choice since the season concluded.
Hayhurst, who is listed as 6-foot-6 and 204 pounds, played in 11 games for BYU in 2023–24, averaging 2.5 minutes per game.
The season’s first two points came on December 22 versus Bellarmine.
Hayhurst, an Eagle, Idaho native, redshirted the 2022–2023 season after initially committing to the Cougars in 2020 to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Louisiana.
