Bruins captain Brad Marchand took part in Boston’s morning skate and will be a game-time decision for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference second-round series against the Florida Panthers on Friday night, according to coach Jim Montgomery.
Marchand missed Boston’s 3-2 loss in Game 4 and their 2-1 win in Game 5 due to an upper-body injury from a hard check by Florida’s Sam Bennett in the first period of the Panthers’ 6-2 victory in Game 3.
The Bruins are currently trailing 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.
“He’s going through his final steps. He’ll be a game-time decision,” Montgomery stated.
Marchand, 36, has recorded three goals and a team-high seven assists for 10 points in 10 postseason games. During the regular season, he had 67 points (29 goals, 38 assists) in 82 games, and he has 929 points (401 goals, 528 assists) in 1,029 career games since being drafted by the Bruins in the third round of the 2006 NHL Draft.
