With a valiant 3-1 victory, the Boston Bruins answered the bell both on the field and on the scoreboard, defeating the Florida Panthers for the second time.With 27 stops, Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark once again controlled the Panthers, and the Bruins’ Dad trip came to an end with a 1-0-1 victory thanks to goals from Charlie Coyle, John Beecher, and Jake DeBrusk.

CLUTCH: Linus Ullmark of the Boston Bruins was in goalkeeper position and playing like a 2022–23 Vezina on Monday night after being a last-minute scratch to start against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ullmark survived an early barrage of Grade A scoring opportunities from a Florida Panthers club seeking retribution for their 3-2 overtime loss to the Bruins on October 30. Additionally, Ullmark survived a headshot by Charlie McAvoy on Oliver Ekman-Larsson during that game.
When Ullmark faces the Florida Panthers, he appears to be on his own revenge tour. We’ll discuss McAvoy’s revenge element later. Ullmark put up a 35-save effort against the Panthers on October 30 and made 27 saves in this game, after he collapsed against them in games 5 and 6 of the Bruins’ seven-game series loss to them last spring. Without him on Monday night, the Bruins would not have even gone into the third period tied, much less up 3-1. The fact that Ullmark appears particularly focused when facing the Panthers is encouraging for them.
BANGER: The Bruins were prepared, and the Panthers were coming for blood. The Bruins responded and were prepared to play any time the Panthers moved or crossed the line. As he squared off against Panthers winger Jonah Gadjovich at 5:28, Boston Bruins defenseman Derek Forbort was eager to dance, giving the pretend-tough Panthers a player to match all the running around and taking liberties. 5:16 of the second half.

There’s no denying that they provided him with protection and space, but can we simply move past that period of time?
After McAvoy’s headshot on Panthers defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson on October 30, the game is different, and the Panthers were bringing the aggression whether Lucic was in the lineup or not. As said with reference to Forbort above, the Bruins answered the bell both in person and on the scoreboard.
UNSUNG HERO: John Beecher, a rookie center on the fourth line, had goals in two straight games. Don’t look now. At 11:14 of the second period, Beecher scored his third goal of the season, which turned out to be the game-winner, following his goal in Monday’s 5-4 overtime loss against the Lightning. After playing his first professional season in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, the feisty and diligent pivot had three shots and is still proving he belongs in the NHL.
FACT: The Bruins have won five straight games with two goals.
