BREAKING NEWS:Former Steelers Tackle Zach Banner Hoping to Make NFL Comeback

Former Steelers Tackle Zach Banner Is Seeking a Return to the NFL

Zach Banner was an offensive tackle for the Steelers before he left the league in 2021, but he hopes to return. He tore his ACL against the New York Giants in the 2020 season’s opening game, and he hasn’t felt quite right since. And presently, he plans to return in 2024.

He was in and out of the starting lineup during training camp even after making a comeback to the field in 2021, and as a result, he was placed on injured reserve prior to the start of the season due to the swelling in his knee. Banner did make a comeback, but he was never able to regain his position as the starting right tackle, and Pittsburgh cut him following the 2021 campaign.

Banner hasn’t gained traction anyplace else since then. Banner, 30, is searching for a chance in the league and is not retiring, even if he misses Pittsburgh and the Steelers.

For the past two years, I’ve been working hard to get back. I swear I’m going to play football this year.
