Fournette posted something on X, which was once known as Twitter, that seemed to indicate to some supporters that he was ready to go from the practice squad to the starting lineup. Since Fournette signed on October 30, the Bills have not upgraded him for any of the four games; instead, they have given former practice squad back Ty Johnson a larger role.

Johnson has seen more opportunities under Brady, despite the fact that he is still behind veteran power back Latavius Murray and lead back James Cook, and he may fall even farther when Harris returns.
