BAD NEWS: DT Justin Madubuike of the Ravens Is All About His Mindset

In a soggy, 37-31 overtime thriller on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium, the Baltimore Ravens overcame the Los Angeles Rams to maintain their push for the AFC’s top seed.

Despite the weather, defensive tackle Justin Madubuike delivered an outstanding performance in the victory, enhancing his already stellar season.

Madubuike remarked, “I adore the rain.” “Honestly, I don’t care what kind of weather it is—I love the rain.” I’m fine as long as my boys are with me, I have food in my stomach, and I have Gatorade. It’s all a matter of perspective, if you understand what I mean. That’s just my opinion; regardless of what’s happening outside, it all comes down to mindset and focus.”

In the victory, Madubuike recorded seven tackles—five solo—one sack, one tackle for loss, and five quarterback hits.

It would be a little bit of an understatement to say that Madubuike is having an outstanding season. This season, the 26-year-old defensive tackle has recorded career-highs in 44 tackles, 11.0 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 26 quarterback hits, and one forced fumble.

Madubuike had at least half of a sack in ten consecutive games prior to his first-quarter sack of Matthew Stafford. Additionally, since future Hall of Famer Terrell Suggs accomplished it in 2017, he is the first player from the Ravens to record at least 10 sacks in a season.

Next week, Baltimore will play again for When it travels to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m.
