Lucas Paqueta, a Brazilian star for Wet Ham United, is managing his cards well in anticipation of a possible summer transfer to Manchester City.
There have been rumors that Lucas Paqueta could join the world champions in the summer. The Daily Mail’s Will Pickworth recently revealed that Manchester City believes the player would be the best choice to take Bernardo Silva’s spot.
When questioned about a possible transfer to Manchester City, Paqueta showed appreciation for West Ham during his remarks prior to Brazil’s match against England this coming weekend. The famous Brazilian stated, “I think highly of West Ham.” I’ve had an excellent season, which has greatly aided in my development in the Premier League. Respecting them, I have to keep my attention on my work.
The international player from Brazil also shared his thoughts on the current betting probe into his actions. According to the FA inquiry, Paqueta might transfer to the Etihad collapse in the summer. “It’s been seven months since it happened and I’m co-operating, doing what’s in my power so that it can be resolved,” Paqueta said to the media in reference to the probe.
The Brazilian star of West Ham is managing his cards well in anticipation of a possible transfer to Manchester City. Paqueta has continued to show respect for his current club instead of pressuring the matter. Although Paqueta may still harbor dreams of joining Pep Guardiola’s team, his remarks indicate that because the summer transfer market is still many months away, there is no reason to press the issue.
According to earlier reports from Fabrizio Romano, Paqueta’s contract contains an £85 million release clause. This summer is apparently when the clause goes into effect. It doesn’t seem like Paqueta needs to do anything extreme in the event that Manchester City makes a move in the summer because of the release clause.
According to Paqueta’s remark, he seems to be willing to show West Ham respect in the interim before making a possible summer transfer. Before completing his transfer from Wolves to the treble-winning Manchester City last season, Matheus Nunes, a midfielder, went on the attack. Nunes’s action sealed the Portuguese international’s transfer to City, but it also left Wolverhampton Wanderers and their supporters bitter.
It looks like Lucas Paqueta won’t be on the same path at this point. The Brazilian player does seem to be positioning himself in anticipation of a possible summer transfer to Manchester City.
