One teammate is identified by Klay Thompson as the “future of the franchise.”
Rising sensation Jonathan Kuminga has impressed Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson sufficiently for him to be named the team’s future face.
After the crucial victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, Thompson made sure to provide his teammate with some well-earned flowers. Kuminga was instrumental for the Warriors in that game.
Jonathan Kuminga Makes an Impression for the Warriors
Kuminga gained a lot of advantages after LA lost Anthony Davis to injury, which helped the Warriors defeat the Lakers 128–121.
Without Davis, the painted area opened up, and the Warriors continued to assault the hoop. During such moments, Kuminga was used extensively, showing off his incredible agility with rim-rattling dunks to demoralize the Purple and Gold.
Kuminga and Draymond Green exchanged baskets on a few occasions, but the most memorable occurred in the second quarter when Dray sent one down from halfcourt for Kuminga to finish.
Late in the game, Kuminga produced yet another highlight when Stephen Curry grabbed the ball from LeBron James and passed it to him for yet another huge dunk. With the scores at 126-117, it essentially ended the game.
