Many people are saying that the Baltimore Ravens are now an unstoppable force after their victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
Even while the victory demonstrated that this squad is capable of competing with any team in the end, the Ravens will face fresh obstacles every week.
A week after the 49ers, the Miami Dolphins present a whole new set of obstacles. Despite using a similar offensive plan, there are certain differences that will make them just as tough, if not more so.
3. The Miami Dolphins offer a distinct speed factor in comparison to the San Francisco 49ers.
Since Mike McDaniel is a 49ers alumni, his offense shares many of the same ideas. But Mike McDaniel’s ability to base his offense mostly on his players is what really sets him apart as a coach. Because they are so aggressive with the ball in their hands, the 49ers skill players are superior after the catch. Though significantly speedier, the Dolphins are not nearly as physical. For example, Brock Purdy has a time to throw of 2.69 this year, whereas Tua Tagovaoila’s is 2.32.
It is a huge benefit that the Ravens will not be seeing Jaylen Waddle this week. Still, it looks like Tyreek Hill is healthy, and when he is going, no one brings more speed. The pre-snap motion the Dolphins use is almost impossible to slow down because it gives Hill a head start on his opponents.
Raheem Mostert will play running back and Devon Achane will be their backfield combination. Their respective speeds are less than 4.4. Though he runs with more patience and cutbacks, Christian McCaffrey is a superior running back than these two since they will run quickly in a straight line. Going from a team that plays so methodical and physical to one that will play against you with only speed may cause an initial shock to the system.
