UNBELIEVABLE: Why was DE Sam Williams taken to hospital after car accident, & ruled out of Saturday’s game?

Sam Williams, a defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after his car was struck in Plano.

The collision occurred on Preston Road at Town Square Drive, just south of the Sam Rayburn Tollway, according to Plano police, at 2:15 p.m.

Williams’ black Corvette was traveling south when a black Infiniti trying to turn left tried to crash into it.

According to authorities, the two drivers were admitted to the hospital with minor injuries only as a precaution.

Williams was not able to practice with the team on Friday due to the mishap, and the Cowboys have announced that he will miss Saturday’s game against the Eagles due to a neck strain and concussion.

According to authorities, no charges have been made and there is no proof that drugs or alcohol had a role.

After the street was temporarily blocked by debris, police and firefighters labored to remove it.
