GOOD NEWS: Two Astros Stars Named All-MLB

During the annual awards ceremony for the league held in Las Vegas on Saturday night, two Houston Astros were chosen All-MLB.

Yordan Alvarez, the designated hitter, and Kyle Tucker, the outfielder, were both selected for the All-MLB Second Team.

Tucker sliced his way to his first Silver Slugger in 2023.With 29 home runs, 112 RBI, and 30 stolen bases, his stats are 284/.369/.517/.886. His 112 RBI set a record for the American League.

In addition to being a two-time All-Star, he won a Gold Glove in 2022 and has been among the top 20 players for MVP the last two seasons.

Additionally, Tucker received the Houston branch of the Baseball Writers Association of America’s Most Valuable Player award.

Despite missing nearly a month of the season because of an injury, Alvarez had a strong offensive campaign.

He ranked 13th in MVP voting after slashing.293/.407/.583/.990 with 31 home runs and 97 RBI, earning him a spot in the All-Star Game for the second time.
