BREAKING NEWS: Atlanta Hawks Release Initial Injury Report for Matchup With Detroit Pistons On Monday Night

The Hawks faced the Cavaliers Friday night on the second night of a back-to-back, and they had a long injury report ahead of them. While Bogdan Bogdanovic and Clint Capela were also held out, forward De’Andre Hunter returned.

A second extensive injury report for Atlanta has been provided by the Hawks ahead of their game against the Detroit Pistons, who have lost 23 straight games.

Joel Joel, Mouhamed Gueye, AJ Griffin, and Bogdanovic (right ankle inflammation), Capela (left knee soreness), and Hunter (right knee discomfort) are all ruled out and labeled as questionable for tomorrow’s game.

Of course, if all three of these guys were to miss out, that would be big news. Even though the Pistons have a terrible past, the Hawks would find it extremely difficult to replace those three key players.

Despite having Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Hunter, Saddiq Bey, and Onyeka Okongwu against the Cavaliers last night, Atlanta’s bench looked thin. The Hawks’ men that came off the bench last night included Trent Forrest, Wesley Matthews, Garrison Matthews, Patty Mills, and Bruno Fernando. Atlanta does not want to be in that situation, but it is a possibility given how tomorrow’s injury report turns up.

Despite the Hawks’ challenging season, Trae Young has been performing admirably. He has now scored at least 35 points in three straight games, and considering tomorrow’s opponent, I believe he has a good chance of keeping up this trend.
