Antonio Pierce now has a chance after Josh McDaniels was fired by the Las Vegas Raiders as head coach. The Raiders’ temporary head coach has had ups and downs, but one thing is certain: Davante Adams has expressed his appreciation for the player’s contributions, and the squad is totally behind him.
The Raiders’ star receiver has never hesitated to speak up when he feels something is wrong, but in Pierce’s case, Adams and the rest of the team have only had positive things to say, and that was especially the case following the Raiders’ dominance over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Prior to Thursday night’s win, the Raiders had a three-game losing streak. Adams said that the Raiders came together for Pierce to show him that they had his back.
“Man, AP [Antonio Pierce] is a dog,” Adams remarked following the victory. “It really helps when you’ve been in our position before. He is aware of our team’s mentality and objective, and I believe that everyone has come together to firmly assure him that we have his back. We just need to work together to do this task; he has our back and we have his.
Since Pierce took over as interim coach, the Raiders’ atmosphere has improved significantly regardless of their results. Tre Tucker, a receiver, saw that the Raiders react to him differently than they did to McDaniels because he just has a stronger bond with the squad.
In response to the question of how crucial it was for Pierce to win, Tucker said, “Everything.” And I believe that we just react to him nicely. Each day, he brings it. Thus, as I previously stated, what you witnessed on the field is a result of him for us.
It is unclear if the Raiders will decide to remove Antonio Pierce’s interim head coach designation and name him head coach for life. He has obviously done everything to demonstrate his ability to perform at this level, and someone else will surely do so if the Raiders choose not to give him the chance.
However, there is no denying that the Raiders have reacted admirably to Pierce since he took over, and this relationship is evident from the comments made by Adams, Tucker, Maxx Crosby, and numerous others.
