So Dalton Kincaid, Gabe Davis, Khalil Shakir- one of them needs to have a big day if the Bills want to win.
2. Keep an eye on the field’s shallow section.
Throughout the season, the Chiefs have been a nickel-and-diming team, and Patrick Mahomes prefers to throw to his left. In terms of average depth of target, Kansas City ranks 28th in the NFL and chalks up throws to the left at the seventh-fastest rate. Travis Kelce is a major contributor to those shallow targets, but Noah Gray, Justin Watson, and Rashee Rice also receive a sizable portion of them.
Players like Taron Johnson, Tyrel Dodson, and Terrel Bernard will therefore need to anticipate the quick throws, stop them for little gain, and possibly profit from a takeaway that could change the game’s outcome.
3. Take the offensive.
