Megadeth, the legendary thrash metal band led by frontman Dave Mustaine, is scheduled to perform in China for the first time in nearly a decade as part of their 2025 world tour.
Known for their blistering riffs, politically charged lyrics, and uncompromising energy, Megadeth’s appearance in Beijing marks a historic moment for both Chinese rock fans and the global metal community. In a recent announcement that set Chinese social media ablaze, concert organizers revealed that the band’s Beijing stop will feature a setlist spanning their 40+ year career—from early thrash anthems like *Peace Sells* and *Hangar 18* to newer fan favorites from their latest album. Posters across the capital already declare: “MEGADETH 2025: 世界毁灭之旅 (World Destruction Tour).”
“China’s always been a place we’ve wanted to hit harder,” Mustaine said in a pre-tour statement. “The fans out there are fierce, loyal, and hungry for metal. We’re going to bring them everything they’ve been waiting for—and more.”
