Three-star cornerback Jhase Thomas will announce his college decision on July 13. Thomas has narrowed his list of schools down to five potential landing spots, including Ole MissLSUTexas TechHouston and Colorado.

The 6-1, 183-pounder is rated as the No. 38 safety in America and the No. 143 player in the state of Louisiana’s 2025 class by 247Sports. In the industry-generated 247Sports Composite index, he comes in as the country’s No. 49 safety and the No. 23 player from the Pelican State. Thomas, the son of former Ole Miss and NFL cornerback Fred Thomas, is out of Destrehan (La.) High School. His father grew up right down the road from Oxford in nearby Bruce, Miss., where he was a standout Bruce High School Trojan in the early 1990s.

Thomas’ Crystal Ball currently favores LSU two picks to one. The two LSU beat writers have predicted him to land in Baton Rouge, while this writer has cast his pick for Ole Miss. No one else has weighed in on Thomas’ coming decision. The LSU predictions were made in the immediate aftermath of the Tigers’ offer to Thomas less than a month ago.
