Dak Prescott’s Thanksgiving victory set a franchise record.

 

Texas’s Arlington Dak Prescott had another successful day as the Cowboys defeated the Washington Commanders 45–10 thanks to his 331 yards and four touchdowns, which helped lead Dallas to its third straight victory of the season on Thanksgiving.

The Cowboys, who are currently 8-3, will face playoff-caliber teams in Seattle, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Miami, and Detroit, in that order, as they approach their most difficult stretch of the season. Prescott sees it as a chance to demonstrate what has worked so far against the top players in the league.

“We’ve gotta continue what we’ve been doing these last few games and just build off of that,” Prescott stated. “As I’ve mentioned, we should simply strive to improve and present the best selves every single week. That’s the main idea here. There are two home games left, which is obviously beneficial. As we’ve done at home, we need to attend to business. Just keep building and guard this stadium.”

Prescott cited several factors that have helped the Cowboys outscore their opponents 127-37 in their last three games, indicating that everything is falling into place for the team just as they enter their most difficult stretch.

“We’re happy with the results,” he remarked. “We have positive feelings about our players. We are confident in the plays that we will call. The weekly credit to the coaches for the game plan, preparation, film analysis, matchup, and preparation.”

With his performance on Thursday, Prescott tied Tony Romo, who was in the building calling the game for CBS, for the most four-touchdown games in franchise history with his tenth career game.

Prescott remarked, “Pretty cool,” regarding the accomplishment. “Although I’ve never been one to care about statistics, it’s humble to watch this team as a child and support the Cowboys.

It’s kind of cool that I got to spend my rookie year with Tony and that I grew up observing and comprehending all of his success. But I want something so much bigger than my own records. I’m just going to continue working and keeping my head down.”
