“A special case” – Tottenham player earns praise from NT boss

According to Marcelo Bielsa, Rodrigo Bentancur, a midfielder for Tottenham, is a player who has it all and can play anywhere.

Following Uruguay’s 3-0 victory over Bolivia on Tuesday, the manager of Uruguay has been complimenting the Tottenham player in public.

The Tottenham player, who is now recovering from a long-term injury, has swiftly established himself as a vital member of the team under Bielsa.

Despite this, the midfielder continues to leave his impact, as evidenced by his 28-minute cameo in the most recent victory over Argentina and his 86-minute performance in the previously mentioned 3-0 victory against Bolivia.

He appears destined for a bigger role in the future, and Bielsa appears to be a fan, as the 26-year-old was eager to commend him following the match.

“He is a player that is hard to find a position in the midfield that he cannot fill,” the player stated. “There are not many players who attack and defend like an interior, like a number 8, like a mixed midfielder, and that when they get to the rival area he has the resources, the qualities of an offensive midfielder.

It is a very special case within football in general. A player who in himself meets the conditions for all places on the field. Today he stood out clearly.” The question now is what role Bentancur will play at Tottenham going forward.

It appears doubtful that Ange Postecoglou will sever the important midfield relationship that Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma have developed while he is away.

Bentancur may get his opportunity to make an impression, though, as the Spurs manager will need to find replacements for the two players who are scheduled to depart for the African Cup of Nations in January.

Meanwhile, he looks eager to make a statement, which he has accomplished during this international break, greatly impressing Bielsa.
